Taqneen Law Firm and Legal Consultants participated in the seminar “From Classrooms to Courtrooms: Practical Experiences in Legal Practice,” organized by the Qatar Lawyers Association in collaboration with the College of Law at Qatar University, with the aim of strengthening the connection between academic legal education and professional practice, and providing students with a closer understanding of the legal profession before entering the field.
The participation of Ms. Alanoud Abdulaziz AlKhaja, Founder of Taqneen Law Firm and Legal Consultants focused on sharing practical experience gained throughout years of legal practice, drawing from a journey that began as a law student at Qatar University and continued through the establishment of Taqneen Law Firm and Legal Consultants.
In this context, the participation emphasized the value of presenting real professional experiences to law students, highlighting that:
“The most valuable thing that can be offered to a student is not theoretical advice, but the experience as it was truly lived, with all its details and challenges.”
The session addressed the practical journey of a lawyer during the first year of practice, emphasizing that this stage extends beyond applying legal rules and requires understanding procedures, organizing legal work, managing files, and dealing with different parties within the legal system.
It also highlighted that the gap between academic education and professional practice is not a gap in legal knowledge, but rather a gap related to procedures, organization, and handling real-world professional situations.
The participation further emphasized the importance of early professional exposure and serious training within a suitable legal environment, noting that:
“Early commitment and serious training in a proper professional environment are among the shortest paths toward professional growth, and students should not wait until graduation to begin building themselves.”
This participation reflects Taqneen’s commitment to supporting young national legal talents and strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and legal practitioners, contributing to the preparation of a new generation of legal professionals equipped for the demands of the profession.
